Deanna Ebanks - Criminal Defense Attorney

Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Deanna E. Ebanks joined the team of The Cochran Firm - South Florida. Her practice focuses exclusively on criminal defense matters.
 
Deanna graduated from the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with Honors and a minor in Criminology. Prior to law school, Deanna was among a select group of students chosen to participate in the James Weldon Johnson Summer Institute, where she became a fellow. Thereafter, she received her law degree from the University of Miami - School of Law, receiving Honors in Litigation Skills -Trial Advocacy and earning the Dean's Merit Scholarship on six separate occasions. Deanna has a love of traveling, one that was fostered during law school when she spent a summer studying abroad in Europe, visiting countries such as England, Italy, Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands.
 
Prior to joining The Cochran Firm, Deanna served as lead counsel on dozens of criminal jury trials, ranging from misdemeanors to felonies punishable by life imprisonment and managed her private practice, The Ebanks Rahming Firm, LLC.
 
She began her focus on criminal defense at the Office of the Public Defender - Howard Finkelstein in Broward County, Florida. As an Assistant Public Defender, Deanna learned the skills and tools needed to excel as a criminal defense trial attorney.
 
Deanna then moved north to the Treasure Coast and joined the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel - Fourth District. As an Assistant Regional Counsel, Deanna continued to focus her practice exclusively on criminal defense, representing clients charged with misdemeanor offenses, as well as, first, second and third degree felonies, including, but not limited to Murder, Attempted Murder, Arson, Trafficking in Controlled Substances, Organized Fraud, Grand Theft, Burglary of a Dwelling, Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Home Invasion Robbery, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, and sexual offenses, such as Lewd and Lascivious and Sexual Battery - Great Force.
 
Deanna is a wife and mother of two children and a member in good standing of the Florida Bar Association.
